Our farm Blässkranz, located in the Naukluft Mountains, is characterized by its rugged topography and steep slopes.  Even though the area is classed as arid to semi-arid, we still have a wide variety of plants and animals that call this region their home.  But what makes our farm special are the birds you can see here. Due to our unique location, with the protected valley and numerous springs, we have a wide variety of birds on the farm. If you are a bird watcher, the farm is for you!

We offer various types of self-catering accommodation and welcome you to our beautiful home! Located 130 km from Sossusvlei and the Sesriem Canyon, 40 km south of Solitaire, and 15 km north of Bullsport on the C14, our farm, Blässkranz, is a special place. We are surrounded by the spectacular Naukluft Mountains of the Namib-Naukluft Park, and the presence of numerous springs means we have water all year. This attracts many birds and you often find species you won’t normally find in the area. The area is also characterised by major thrust lines with large alluvial fans on mountain slopes and evidence of fluvial lines. One major ephemeral river dissects the valley (Tsondab River). This river eventually ends in the Namib Sand Sea in the Tsondab vlei.

Either to stay a few nights to recharge, or as a stopover on the way south to South Africa, west to the coast, or east to the central plateau, enjoy our hospitality. Our farm is the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the Namibian landscape, marvel at the starry skies, and relax in the beauty of the Naukluft Mountains.
