Frog & Fern Cottages

Chimanimani is THE place to walk out your many hours of COVID restriction and angst. We are now open and invite all walkers, birders, golfers, couples or families who have been separated  by the lock down. Our cottages are private and you need not be exposed to the virus by strangers. Your kitchen is safe, bring your own food and drinks. Firewood is stored under your braai in case you feel like doing some outdoor cooking.

Nature has enjoyed our stay away, let us not kid ourselves. So some changes are in order and Corona virus precautions are in place at Frog & Fern.

The Frog & Fern Cottages are owned and run by Jane and Dee who designed them and started the project in 1990. Born in Zimbabwe, Jane and Dee have themselves traveled extensively and are therefore sensitive to visitor’s needs.  As conditions change rapidly in Zimbabwe, you will find them happy to give you current information to assist with your journey and to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Whether you are heading to Chimanimani from Mozambique, Harare, Beit Bridge or Bulawayo be assured of arriving to beautiful surroundings, the challenge of these mystical mountains  and a  genuinely warm welcome.
