Thakadu Camp is a friendly and unique establishment close to Ghanzi. It is situated on a game farm and the natural setting provides a relaxed atmosphere for any weary traveller. The main buildings of this affordable establishment is situated around a natural pan with year-round water surrounded by ancient Leadwood trees. There is an excellent family restaurant overlooking the waterhole where you can watch the animals drinking while sipping on a cool drink and enjoying a meal. The last 3km is a gravel road. This is the perfect overnight accommodation between northern and central Botswana and Namibia, or South Africa.
Thakadu Camp offers a variety of comfortable accommodation units. The campsite is well-equipped with electric points and neat communal ablutions.
We have a veriaty of Kalahari game, from giraffe to steinbok, resident shy nocturnal aardvark to predators such as cheetah that come and go as they please. It is safe however to walk around freely as there is no dangerous game. the birdlife is astonishing with resident and migratory birds.
